You’ll be transferred to the harbor where your island escape begins with a scenic boat ride across the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean to Prison Island. Glide past Zanzibar’s coastline as you approach this historic gem. On arrival, explore the island’s rich heritage—from its former role as a slave holding site and quarantine station to its current peaceful charm. Wander through ancient ruins, swim or snorkel in turquoise waters, and relax on pristine white-sand beaches. Settle into your charming beachfront lodge and enjoy a tranquil evening surrounded by ocean views.

Day 2: Snorkeling & Giant Tortoise Sanctuary Experience
Awaken to the sound of waves and enjoy a fresh island breakfast. Today’s adventure begins beneath the surface—snorkel the vibrant coral reefs surrounding Prison Island, alive with colorful fish, sea stars, and the occasional graceful ray. Afterward, visit the Giant Tortoise Sanctuary, where Aldabra tortoises—some over 100 years old—roam freely. Feed them, learn about conservation efforts, and snap unforgettable photos. Day 3: Island Leisure, Kayaking & Return to Stone Town
Savor your final morning on Prison Island with a relaxing swim, sunbathe on the beach, or join an optional kayaking session along the shoreline. For nature lovers, a short walk through the island’s quiet trails offers glimpses of native plants and coastal birds. In the afternoon, board your boat back to Stone Town.
