Day 1: Arrival – Arusha National Park Safari

Highlights: Fig Tree Arch • Momella Lakes • Ngurdoto Crater

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Revelation Adventure Safaris representative. After a brief introduction, we head straight to Arusha National Park for a scenic safari drive. Though smaller than other parks, Arusha is rich with beauty—from the Momella Lakes to the Ngurdoto Crater, often called the “Little Ngorongoro.”

One of the highlights is passing beneath the famous fig tree arch, where you’ll pause for photos beneath this natural marvel large enough to fit an elephant—or your safari jeep. Keep an eye out for giraffes, zebras, colobus monkeys, flamingos, and more as we drive through varied landscapes. Midday, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing the game drive.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll return to Arusha town where you’ll settle in for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Mto wa Mbu

Highlights: Elephant herds • Giant baobabs • Predator sightings

After breakfast, we journey south toward Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous elephant population, towering baobab trees, and rich birdlife. Your day’s adventure will include tracking herds of elephants, spotting tree-climbing lions, watching giraffes and warthogs, and observing flocks of colorful birds fluttering across the landscape.

You’ll also discover massive termite mounds and vast plains dotted with wildlife such as ostriches, mongoose, impalas, and baboons. Lunch is served inside the park at a scenic picnic site.

As the sun begins to dip, we exit the park and drive to the nearby town of Mto wa Mbu, where you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and an overnight stay at a cozy lodge or campsite, depending on your safari tier.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Full-Day Safari Experience

Highlights: The Big Five • Flamingos on the lake • Picnic in the crater

Rise early and prepare for a truly unforgettable day in one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders: the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, we descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact caldera—home to over 25,000 animals and stunning views in every direction.

Thanks to the crater’s enclosed ecosystem and permanent water sources, wildlife is abundant and easy to spot. This is one of the few places where it’s possible to see all members of the Big Five in a single day: buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards, and the elusive black rhino. Other sightings may include hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, and hippos.

Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch beside a hippo pool or beneath an acacia tree, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the sounds of the wild. After your crater experience, return to Arusha for a relaxing final evening.

Day 4: Departure or Optional Add-On

Depending on your flight schedule, you may choose to relax at your Arusha lodge, explore the local markets, or add an optional activity such as a coffee tour or visit to a Maasai cultural village.

Airport drop-off is included if you’re flying out of Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport.
