5 Days Mount Meru Trek
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, a representative from Revelation Adventure Safaris will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a relaxed evening, meet your trekking team, and receive a detailed safety and equipment briefing.

Day 2: Arusha to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m)
After breakfast, drive to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park, where your trek begins. Hike through stunning landscapes—lush forests, open grasslands, and acacia woodlands—while spotting wildlife like giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, and zebras. Your first camp is at Miriakamba Hut, set in a tranquil forest clearing.

- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- Overnight: Miriakamba Hut (2,500m)
Day 3: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (3,570m)
The trail steepens today as you ascend through montane forest and into open moorlands. Enjoy stunning views of the Meru Crater, Ash Cone, and, weather permitting, distant glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch at Saddle Hut, opt for a short acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820m) at sunset.

Day 4: Summit Day – Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak (4,566m) & Descend to Miriakamba Hut
Begin your summit attempt around 1:30 a.m., hiking under the stars past Rhino Point (3,800m) and Cobra Point (4,350m). Walk along a thrilling crater ridge to reach Socialist Peak by sunrise. From the summit, enjoy jaw-dropping views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Meru Crater, and the vast plains of Tanzania.
After celebrating, descend to Saddle Hut for brunch, then continue down to Miriakamba Hut for a well-deserved rest.

Day 5: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate – Return to Arusha
After a relaxed breakfast, descend through the forest trails filled with birdsong and wildlife sightings. Upon reaching Momella Gate, you’ll receive your summit certificate and be transferred back to Arusha.
